| About |
| Immunity is the sum of all its parts. Our ability to recognize and respond to pathogen threat is fundamental to our survival. Recent advances in understanding how the innate immune system responds to pathogen threats via pathogen recognition receptors and how this response matures the adaptive immune system has broadened our understanding of immunology as a whole. How these receptors also play a part in autoimmune and chronic inflammation has generated wide appeal for this field of research across all spectrums of immunological research.
The aim of this special interest group is to provide a forum and focus for researchers across different fields of interest to interact and collaborate on the common interest of immune recognition and response in both immunological directions: innate and adaptive. ASI members have international expertise in both fields and Infection and Immunity aims to bring these groups together to assist in understanding our areas of research, access reagents and provide collaborative opportunities across fields of expertise.
This website now allows ASI members the opportunity to register for Infection and Immunity such that members can participate in online forums, post question and reagant requests on a noticeboard and stay informed on meetings and the latest information in the field.
